Blue Print: Stage 4
After the arrangement of your piece is decided, I always begin my pieces with what I call as my 'blue print' stage.
A little background to this is linked to when I did cyanotypes in A-level Photography. Cyanotypes are the origins of blueprints, due to a reaction that's triggered by light, turning the chemical from green to a vibrant blue. I incorporated this same blue into my Art Alevel pieces and found a love for deep blues in areas that show darkness or shadows (hence why you'll see a lot of this in my drawings!).
This step is closely linked with the discussions named above because it's the foundation of your piece and a physical representation of our discussions around arrangement.
Please note: these blueprints represent the poses, relationships/dynamics in the piece and may not be fully proportionate.
